milnerton beach

Right on the Atlantic Ocean, about 11 kilometres to the north of Cape Town, is the suburb of Milnerton. On a particularly windy morning, we enjoyed a full English breakfast and a stroll along the beach. Milnerton Beach is known for it's panoramic views of Table Mountain. If you look closely in the photo below, you can see it in the background. That day, it happened to be covered by a "table cloth" - a term the locals have coined for a layer of white clouds that often float over the mountain. Since there was ample opportunities to view (and go to the top of) the mountain, we just enjoyed soaking up the sun.

  3. It almost looks like there's a tidal wave approaching in the background of Alex's picture. It also (presumably due to the light) looks like Alex has removed the 'stache part of his beard and gone full Amish.
