No trip to Djemaa El Fna is complete without dining at one of the rooftop restaurants. We chose the most touristy one, despite how overpriced it was (compared to the local fare), because it looked really pretty and welcoming. We arrived before the restaurant filled up,  admired the market from above, and then grabbed a cozy corner seat for a filling meal while being serenaded by Moroccan musicians and entertained by showy belly dancers.

  7. I think I need to learn your secret to looking so well put together while traveling. I'm always the girl with the frizzy hair and the wrinkled shirt!

  8. Jill - My hair is frizzy and I couldn't be bothered to waste time in Morocco trying to get the wrinkles out of my clothes... so, I'm definitely not going to be of any help to you. It must be the dark lighting!

  13. hellojaime - There was a menu for two that included an assortment of Moroccan salads (in the little dishes) and briouats. Then there were three tagines: chicken/lemon/olive, lamb/prune, and kefta that came with a vegetarian couscous. For dessert: a berber crepe with honey and oranges with cinnamon (so good!) and, of course, mint tea. No hummus!
