The Dome | Part II • 6 comments • The Dome's expansive view was so stunning that we basically just hung out at the cabin the entire time we were in Idyllwild. Typically, you only get these kind of views after going on a hike, but this was just the backyard! Every morning, we woke up to the sun streaming in from the sky lights and wandered out onto the deck with a cup of tea to take it all in. We really enjoyed the few days we spent there - easily one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had. - Mina We'd like to thank Glamping Hub who made this experience possible. The Dome • 8 comments • The good thing about driving through a sun-shower is that we were greeted by a rainbow when we arrived at The Dome. Idyllwild wasn't on our radar and I don't think we would have considered it for a vacation, simply because we weren't aware of it. I'm grateful that Glamping Hub reached out to us and let us know about this incredible place. Nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains, and about 3 hours south of Los Angeles, Idyllwild is a perfect spot for a quiet getaway. Aside from the huge size and interesting shape of the cabin, the first thing we noticed were the gorgeous views. We spent the evening exploring the area around the property and watching the sunset. Later that night, we drove into town for dinner, and then came back and played old board games that we found in the cabin. I loved the feeling of being secluded because of the elevation, even though we weren't very far from neighboring properties. En Route to Idyllwild • 5 comments • Last month, we ventured down to Southern California for a short and relaxing trip to Idyllwild. After flying into Long Beach, we hopped in a rental car and drove through the mountains in search of a dome cabin we had booked for 2 nights. We navigated the winding, coniferous tree lined streets that felt very different from the idea of Southern California we have in our heads. After a missed turn, we spotted The Dome in the distance.... I'm excited to share images from around Idyllwild and the charming dome cabin that we stayed at this week!
