We'd like to check out more spots along Highway 1 but find ourselves stopping here (and not going further) quite often. I was really into the weird clouds on this day. They started off as wispy little strokes in the sky. The evening ended with the strangest streak of pink that looks like photoshop trickery but it was au naturel. It's the little things. - Mina
The Dome | Part II • 6 comments • The Dome's expansive view was so stunning that we basically just hung out at the cabin the entire time we were in Idyllwild. Typically, you only get these kind of views after going on a hike, but this was just the backyard! Every morning, we woke up to the sun streaming in from the sky lights and wandered out onto the deck with a cup of tea to take it all in. We really enjoyed the few days we spent there - easily one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had. - Mina We'd like to thank Glamping Hub who made this experience possible. The Dome • 8 comments • The good thing about driving through a sun-shower is that we were greeted by a rainbow when we arrived at The Dome. Idyllwild wasn't on our radar and I don't think we would have considered it for a vacation, simply because we weren't aware of it. I'm grateful that Glamping Hub reached out to us and let us know about this incredible place. Nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains, and about 3 hours south of Los Angeles, Idyllwild is a perfect spot for a quiet getaway. Aside from the huge size and interesting shape of the cabin, the first thing we noticed were the gorgeous views. We spent the evening exploring the area around the property and watching the sunset. Later that night, we drove into town for dinner, and then came back and played old board games that we found in the cabin. I loved the feeling of being secluded because of the elevation, even though we weren't very far from neighboring properties.
