Hawaiian Pineapple Maze
• 10 comments •According to a sign we saw, the pineapple maze in Oahu is the largest in the world (as recognized by the 2008 Guinness Book of World Records). Unfortunately, we don't have a great track history with mazes.
Running though a pineapple maze sounds so whimsical and fun! In reality, this is the Dole Pineapple plantation* with a gift shop, and the maze was a swampy mud path that we gave up on. All was not lost: there was pineapple ice cream! I think it's almost impossible to have a bad time in Hawaii, though. I'm going to give the maze the benefit of doubt and assume it just rained, so, I'd still recommend it. We found refuge from the sun under a banana tree, took some cheesy photos, and headed to the beach. - Mina
*click on this link if you want to see the aerial views of the maze - they're pretty cool.
