celebrations

We celebrated a few achievements with a gluttonous meal at Au Pied De Cochon - a favourite restaurant of ours that can only be enjoyed sparingly as every dish there is an indulgence.
I've been planning a weekend getaway to Washington, DC and crossing my fingers that the cherry blossoms will be in bloom. I may have already pinned more than we can handle for two days, but let me know if there's anything we absolutely can't miss.
It always feels strange when I neglect this space but I'm excited to share some news soon.* Thanks for sticking around, friends. - Mina

*Not a baby! I guess I'm just in that phase of life where I need to attach that addendum any time I declare good news.

Haha I always feel the need to add that too. looking forward to hearing your news Mina :)
ReplyDeleteWe ate there when we visited Montreal - so good and SO indulgent! I hope you find some blooming trees! I was there last Weds and found a few trees with buds on them at the Enid A Haupt Garden, right near L'Enfant Plaza -- good luck!
ReplyDeleteAw welcome back!!! Love seeing you and Le Pied de Cochon... jealous!
ReplyDeletePlease share those news ASAP!! xxxxxx
I can't wait to hear your news!...I confess, before I saw the addendum, I thought: "BABY!!" LOL
ReplyDeleteI must eat there next time I go to Montreal ;)
ReplyDeleteHello Mina and Alex,

washington DC is my absolute favorite city! you should walk around the eastern market either on saturday or sunday. and if you go to the museums and find yourself starving, the museum of the american indian actually has some pretty good food - it's really one of the few decent options around the national mall. also, ben's chili bowl is a must. or pizza paradiso - there's one in georgetown and another in dupont circle. yum.
ReplyDeletehope the cherry blossoms are in bloom. they are absolutely beautiful!
Great pictures, again!

ReplyDeleteI love that "not a baby" was needed. it is so strange that we're in the time of our lives were that is needed!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a baby! :) I guess there is a time when everyone thinks that if you have good news, it's because you are pregnant! ;)
