ice hotel

Alex took me to the Ice Hotel in Montreal's Snow Village, for my birthday, a few weeks ago. We had dinner in the Pommery Ice Restaurant. It was freeeeezing (sitting on chairs made of ice probably didn't help), but a good time anyway! - Mina

Oh wow! Of course I've heard all about this but the photos really show how intricate it all is! What a cool experience!
ReplyDeletegirl, you are gorgeous! what a fun trip. happy belated birthday :)
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to go to an ice bar/hotel, but at the same time, I'm hesitant as I do not like the cold one bit!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such fun! Happy belated birthday :)
ReplyDeletewhat a nice hotel, I don't think I would have been able to sleep there though :P

ReplyDeleteThis is one of those things where I am so, so glad someone else had this experience and took pictures... because I would never, ever be able to handle it myself. haha!

Just found your blog through Amanda Jones' My Better Half series. Such a cute blog you have, can't wait to read more and follow along on your adventures! :)

ReplyDeleteOh, how fun! I've always wanted to go there. Makes my nose cold just looking at these though, haha!

ReplyDeleteLooks amazing, but soooooo cold! :)
ReplyDeleteHi! Love the blog! Was wondering, how do you put together your images side by side? what program do you use?
ReplyDeletethanks!
This place looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWOW what an incredible place!!!!!!!!!! What lens did you use? These photos are sensational.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to go here!! xo
ReplyDeleteOmg! This so awesome!!!!
ReplyDeleteCool! But how was the food and drink? Tasty, I hope. :) I've always wanted to visit one of the places before. Like you, though, I would freeze. I'm ALWAYS cold. How was the night? Stay warm?
ReplyDeleteManda - Thanks! I use photoshop.
ReplyDeleteAndi - These were taken with either a 40mm or 24-105mm.
Dawn - The fondue and dessert were really good. The rest of it was just okay (and it got cold too quickly).
There is no way I would stay the night in this place! I didn't mean to imply that with this post. We just wandered around the rooms before dinner. I would have died. As it was, I spent an hour in bed shivering when we got home. A few hours was more than enough.
Goodness you look beautiful Mina!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, this is so cool! The ice looks beautiful, especially with all the lights & colours!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to stay there! I think growing up in such a hot climate in Australia and never seeing snow has meant I have a love for cold climates and a fascination with ice and snow.
ReplyDeleteThey are great photos.
I will get there one day.

Those are amazing images. Although I live in Toronto, I haven't visited the Ice Hotel in Montreal yet. I wonder how people manage to stay overnight without freezing? I don't think I could handle it!

Wow! The pictures of this place do WAY more justice than my imagination ever could. I had heard of the ice hotel, but in my mind's eye I didn't see it as so beautiful and extravagant. It's so amazing to see these great pictures. Thank you so much for the share. I would love to get to stay in this place one day, but it looks so expensive based on the photographs. Perhaps one day for a special occasion.
ReplyDeleteDig the new look. Your photos are looking pro-FESH. Eat those pancakes before they get cold!!!
ReplyDeletethis is amazing.
ReplyDeleteA modern day igloo! I like to book there someday to experience sleeping in a hotel made in ice.
