street meat

New York is bustling with street carts selling everything from pretzels to shawarma. Hot dog carts are especially prevalent. Buying a hot dog from one of these vendors seems like a ridiculous NYC cliché, but as tourists, we are obligated to participate in them. Despite the inflated price tag (due to the cart's proximity to Times Square), Alex clearly enjoyed his late night snack. - Mina

Salutari, din Romania !
ReplyDeleteI always get hot dogs from the street vendor in NYC = its super cliche but so yummy. I also love the vendors selling bagels and bagel sandwhiches in the morning.
ReplyDeleteDo I see cops in the background who are:
ReplyDeletea) standing around by a hotdog cart instead of fighting crime
b) possibly checking out that girl walking by
?
i do love indulging in the street vendor foods in NY! i remember getting one of the biggest, most delicious pretzels from there once...over by grand central station if i'm not mistaken :)

Hhahah street meat is my guilty indulgence after a drunken night. I'm sad that I missed you guys in NY!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cool little video/picture. I'm not a meat eater but back in '04 I was which is when I went to NYC for the first time and I do remember it was pouring rain and I ran out of the hotel room we were staying at and ran across this really busy street to purchase a street "dog". It has remained one of my most memorable moments in NY.
ReplyDeletei love hot dogs, especially from street cars in NY and that video/pic thing is way too cool!
